Braw spot central to everything, perfect for catching the ferry. The breakfast was of good quality, and the stay was pleasant. One downside was the house was a tad overheated, but that’s minor really.

A cozy stay in Thurso
The spacious bathroom featured a huge bath and shower, making our mornings delightful. Karl was incredibly accommodating, preparing bacon sandwiches for us before our early ferry.
The mattress felt quite hard, which impacted our sleep quality. breakfast options could benefit from more variety, especially with fruits and homemade pastries.

The location is centrally located with easy access to local shops, and off-street parking makes it convenient for my transport. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, with kettles and tea facilities available, which I always appreciate after a long journey.
The experience was marred by some drawbacks. The breakfast ordering system requires choices to be made the night before, restricting spontaneity, and the mattress in my room was quite hard, impacting sleep quality. I noticed limited options during breakfast, particularly in terms of fruit variety, and the Wi-Fi, though free, could use an upgrade for better reliability. Finally, the cash-only payment requirement felt outdated and slightly inconvenient.

really liked my stay at murray house. the room was clean and comfy, and breakfast was good with porridge and a full english. the hosts were nice and welcoming and the location was perfect for exploring thurso. easy to park my bike round back too. overall a nice place to chill after a long day on the road.
the check-in process was a bit weird since no one greeted us and the room was small with just a skylight. also, paying in cash was kinda annoying.
